Day 01: Cochin (Kochi)

As you reach the Cochin International Airport, Luxury India Vacations representative will greet you in traditional Indian style. He will drive you to the hotel booked for you in advance. On arrival at the hotel, you will again be welcomed by the hotel staff. Have refreshments at the hotel. You can have your lunch at the hotel restaurant or if you wish you can have it in Local Restaurant also. Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a coastal city on the south-west coast of India known as Queen of Arabian Sea. After lunch you will explore the colonial buildings like Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing nets. You can also visit the Jew Town located at Mattancherry to have a view of the first Jew town in India. Evening proceeds to Marine drive, the most romantic hang-out of Kochi city. Enjoy the time overlooking the evening beauty of Arabian Sea. Walk past the road overlooking the happenings of chic life.

Day 02: Cochin – Kumarakom (50Km / 2 hours drive)

After breakfast leave the hotel and start your next drive to Kumarakom, a romantic backwater destination in Kerala. check in to a backwater resort. You will be thrilled to reach Kumarakom, the scenic destination bequeathed with myriad treasures of nature - backwater canals, palm fringed land, various flora and fauna, etc. You will be happy to know that the Booker prize winner Arundhathi Roy’s The God of Small Things is set in a village of Kumarakom. You may also enjoy the holistic healing of a Kerala Ayurvedic massage (Direct basis). Experience its inner healing power. Day 03: Kumarakom - Alleppey Houseboat ride

You will enjoy a full day tour at Kumarakom. Early morning set out your birding tour to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which is home to various rare species of birds. If you visit in winter, you are lucky to spot the winter migratory birds frolicking on the water bodies of Kumarakom. You may have a sight of the rare birds like Snake bird, Crow Pheasant, Tree pie, etc. The native kingfishers can thrill you. After lunch you will board a traditional houseboat to go on a cruise along the lake. Today you feel the true essence of a Kerala backwater ride. Sailing on the houseboat you will move towards Alleppey. On the way, enjoy the sceneries of the villages, plantations, vast natural greeneries, etc. Spend the night onboard the houseboat. You will be mesmerized to experience a night on a houseboat. All provide a tune of a lullaby to your lull sleep.

Day 04: Alleppey (Alapuzzha)

Morning your houseboat will start to cruise to Alleppey. On reaching your destination you will get off. Our representative will take you to a hotel. Have your lunch at the hotel restaurant. You can shop at the Alappuzha markets as it is known for coir products. Visit the local bazaars of Kayamkulam and Mullakkal. You can pick up gold and silver jewelleries at Mullakkal. Then late afternoon you will head towards Alappuzha beach. Enjoy the sunset view here. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 05: Alleppey - Cochin - Departure
