Day 01 : Arrival in Delhi

After arriving in Delhi, you would be greeted by the Luxury India Vacations representative. You are going to embark on a Rajasthan Forts and Palaces tour. He would transfer you to a pre-booked hotel. We have done a pre-check in, on your behalf for your convenience as you arrive in the middle of the night.

Day 02 : Delhi

After your breakfast, you would embark on a Delhi sightseeing tour. You will begin with the New Delhi tourist attractions such India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Lotus temple, ISCON temple, Qutub Minar, etc. Thereafter, you will go over to Old Delhi to visit numerous tourist attractions. Start with the Red Fort. It is a gigantic fort made in red stone. Across the road visit the oldest mosque in India, Jama Masjid. Go to Chandani Chowk in a rickshaw. Later you will pay your respects at RajGhat to the father of the nation. Come back to the hotel and stay for the night there.

Day 03 : Delhi Samode 245 km / 5 hours by Surface

After having your breakfast, you will proceed for Samode. After reaching there, you will check into a hotel. You will spend two nights at the beautiful Samode Palace.

Day 04 : Samode

It would be a really thrilling experience to explore the local heritage of the place. The town of Samode has beautiful havelis, mansions and rich traditional local handicrafts. The aficionados will really appreciate the cultural arts of the place. The real fun would be the rural flavor of Rajasthan. Samode Palace belongs to Rawals who did not belong to any royal family but were granted Samode in return for meritorious services by the royal family. The Palace is four hundred years old. It has been through numerous restorations. Now, it is a grand heritage hotel. Dinner and stay at the hotel.

Day 05 : Samode - Mandawa 145 km / 3

After having your breakfast, you would depart for Mandawa. The place is known as the open air gallery. You will reach there at noon. You will check into a hotel. Have lunch and relax at the hotel. Visit the Shekhawati region. This place has a great cultural tradition and there are so many beautiful havelis painted with frescoes from Indian mythologies. The havelis in the region are done in blue, yellow, green and indigo colors. Get back to the hotel and have dinner. Afterwards, retire for the night.

Day 06 : Mandawa - Gajner

In the morning after having breakfast, you will be driven to Gajner. It used to be a hunting lodge built by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner. It was built on the embankment of the lake surrounded with a lot of greenery and numerous species of animals. You will stay for two nights. While walking down the lake, you will watch the various species of migratory birds and animals like Nilgai, Chinkaras, deers, etc.

Day 07 : Bikaner

After having your breakfast, you will go to Bikaner for a day excursion. You would visit the Junagarh Palace built in 1593 and it is one of the best in Rajasthan. Explore the Shish Mahal, the Grand Durbar Hall, the 17th century Karan Mahal, Anup Mahal and the Phool Mahal. Bikaner is also known as the Camel country. It is blessed with the best riding camels in the world. The town has colorful bazaars and wonderful people. Bikaner is fantastic place on the itinerary of Rajasthan Forts and Palaces tour. In the evening, you will return to Gajner. You will enjoy the folk dance and music.

Day 08 : Gajner - Jaisalmer 300 km / 5-6 hours

After having your breakfast, you will go to Jaisalmer. It would be a nice drive through the Thar Desert. Once, the trade route to Persia used to pass through Jaisalmer. After reaching Jaisalmer, you will check into a hotel. You would visit various attractions like Gadisar Lake and havelis and comel ride into dunes of the Thar Desert at sunset. You will stay here for two nights. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 09 : Jaisalmer

After having your breakfast, you will visit the Jaisalmer fort. It is a majestic fort built in yellow stones. The fort conjures up the medieval grandeur. It is lined up with palaces, havelis, temples, etc. The fort is situated on the hilltop and the whole town is contained within the ramparts of the fort. There are four gateways to the fort. They are known as Akhaiya Pol, Ganesh Pol, Suraj Pol and Hava Pol. You would really love the camel safari through the desert villages of Doojasar, Kanoi, Kuldara, etc. It is the most sought-after place of Forts and Palaces tour of Rajasthan. After the exciting sightseeing of the day, you will go back to the hotel and retire for the day.

Day 10 : Jaisalmer - Rohet (Jodhpur) 300 km / 5-6 hours

The village Rohet at its doorstep is our next stop, where we are guests of the royal family. En route we will visit the grand Mehrangarh Fort, perched on a hilltop, the Umaid Bhavan Palace and the Jaswant Thada in Jodhpur. Located in the heart of a village, Rohet Garh offers a chance to get close to the locals of the region or simply relax by the pool and unwind to prepare for the further caravan. This evening we host a bar-be-que dinner by the pool.

Day 11 : Rohet - Udaipur 214 km / 4-5 hours

After having your breakfast, you will go to Udaipur via Ranakpur. You would visit the famous Ranakpur Jain temple with 1444 pillars. You will have lunch at the Ranakpur hill resort. Thereafter, you will head towards the romantic Udaipur. Upon reaching there, you will check into a hotel for two days. Go out for sightseeing around your hotel. Come back, have dinner and retire for the night.

Day 12 : Udaipur

In the morning, you will go out for a fantastic sightseeing tour of Udaipur. It is a unique Rajasthan city having no fort. You would explore City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion-ki-Bari. You will enjoy the boat ride on the serene Lake Pichola. The Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir situated on the Pichola Lake look extremely beautiful. The City Palace overlooks the entire city of Udaipur. Udaipur is very popular destination of Forts and Palaces Tour India. There is no doubt you will not enjoy the charms of the city. Dinner and stay would be at the hotel.

Day 13 : Udaipur - Deogarh (128 km / 2-3 hours)

In the morning, we will leave for Deogarh village. It is situated 80 miles north-east of Udaipur. The thikana of Deogarh was granted to a chieftain known as “Rawat '' by the Maharaja of Udaipur. On reaching Deogarh, you will stay with the royal family at the Deogarh palace. Deogarh is famous as a school of miniature paintings. The walls of the fort are painted with nice frescoes.

Day 14 : Deogarh - Jaipur (275 km / 5 hours)

In the morning, we will drive to Jaipur. It is also known as the Pink City. It is a regal city so representative of the royal era. On arriving at Jaipur, you will check into a hotel. You will stay at Jaipur for two days. The city has vibrant colors and would really amaze you with colorful life and vitality. You would visit the walled city. Explore the brightly lit markets of Jaipur. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15 : Jaipur

Take your breakfast and embark on the sightseeing of Jaipur. Rajasthan Forts and Palaces tour is incomplete without visiting Jaipur. Visit the attractions like City Palace which is the present home of the royal family. Explore various other attractions like Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh Palace, and Jaigarh fort. Enjoy a camel ride on the banks of a lake abutting the Jal Mahal. The most famous is the Amber Fort situated on the hilltop. From atop the hill, you get a panoramic view of Jaipur city. The wonderful ride on the backs of elephants up to the fort is really fantastic. This fort is really the highest achievement of Rajput architecture. You discover the grandeur of the fort once you enter inside the fort. After enjoying the sightseeing, come back to the hotel. Dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 16 : Jaipur - Bharatpur (185 km / 3-4 hours)

After reaching Bharatpur, you will check into a hotel. You will visit the famous Keoladeo Ghana National Park. It is the famous bird sanctuary visited by around 250 migratory birds. The Park is home to more than 4000 species of birds. It is sprawled across 232 sq kms. It is a paradise for bird-lovers. Dinner and stay at the hotel.

Day 17 : Bharatpur - Agra (55 km / 1 hours)

In the morning, we will drive to Agra. Enroute, we will visit the world heritage site, Fatehpur Sikri. The wonderful ruins narrate the grandeur of this deserted city. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Then, move over to Agra-the seat of the extremely beautiful Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is said to be a poem etched in stone. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Also visit the Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah tomb. Dinner and stay at the hotel.

Day 18 : Agra - Delhi (205 km / 5 hours)

Wake up early in the morning, move over to Taj Mahal. Taj looks surreally beautiful in the crimson light of sunrise. Come back to the hotel for your breakfast. After checking out of the hotel, you drive to Delhi. On reaching Delhi, you will be transferred to the hotel from where in time you will be taken.
