Day 1: Delhi

Arrive at Delhi where our representatives will meet and escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the National Museum. See for yourself the finest collection of Indian antiquities and artifacts. A welcome dinner in your honor will be hosted where you will also be familiarized with the tour for India.

Day 2: Delhi

After the breakfast, a full day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi including Shahjahanabad and New Delhi including Lutyen's Delhi area. The sightseeing tour of Delhi will take you to all the significant historical monuments. Commence your tour by visiting the Red Fort – a UNESCO world heritage site. A beautiful historical monument built by Shahjahan, located in Old Delhi close to Chandni Chowk. Every year on Independence day the Prime Minister of India addresses the nation from Red Fort. After that walk through the Chandni Chowk market and enjoy the Rickshaw ride by the busy Lane of Chandni Chowk. Later, continue to proceed for the sightseeing of New Delhi. Visit to the Qutab Minar, the tallest brick minaret of the world and a Indo-Islamic architecture in India. It is located in Qutab Complex. It is called the Victory Tower of Mughals and commencement of Muslim rules in India. Also visit Rajghat and drive through the India Gate, President House and Parliament House etc. After the above sightseeing our car will transfer back to your Hotel for overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3: Delhi - Khajuraho (by train via Jhansi)

After breakfast, board the train to Jhansi. From Jhansi proceed to Khajuraho visiting the medieval town of Orchha. It is the perfect example of fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture in the Bundelkhand buildings. Afternoon is scheduled for the world famous Nagara style of temple with erotic art at Khajuraho. Overnight stay at the hotel in Khajuraho.

Day 4: Agra

After an early breakfast, transfer to Jhansi railway station to board the train to Agra. On arrival at Agra in the evening, check in for the overnight stay.

Day 5: Agra

After breakfast, an excursion to Sikandra to see Akbar's Tomb and then the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah. You will visit Agra Fort in the afternoon and the Taj Mahal at sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.

Day 6: Agra - Jaipur (265 km / 5 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri. An imperial Mughal city built by Mughal Emperor Akbar but was soon abandoned after its completion. On arrival at Jaipur at noon, check in at the hotel. Jaipur is the capital of one of the Indian states Rajasthan, during the British rule it was known as Rajputana, a place of Raja’s son. Jaipur is famous for beautiful historical monuments along with great places for the shopping of Handicraft, Jewelry and clothes. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 7: Jaipur

After breakfast, visit the Amber Fort on the lavishly decorated elephants. Visit the Palace of Mirrors, Hall of Public Audience and the beautifully manicured gardens within the fort. Spend the afternoon exploring the Jantar Mantar (Astrological Observatory), the Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds), the City Palace and the museum. stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 8: Jaipur - Jodhpur (351 km / 6 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur. It was founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha - chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs as the capital of Marwar. Visit the massive 15th century AD Mehrangarh Fort, which rises to a height of 125 m. A 10 km high wall with 8 gates and innumerous citadels surrounds the city. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 9: Jodhpur

After breakfast, explore rich treasures of the Mehrangarh Fort-Museum. It's one of the largest forts in India unparalleled in beauty and splendor. Visit the old town and its market to get a feel of the desert town. Evening is for a short safari to the Bishnoi tribal villages that have firm belief in the sanctity of plant and animal life. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 10: Jodhpur - Udaipur (250 km / 5 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Udaipur. Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh are en-route. Ranakpur is the largest and most beautifully preserved Jain Temples in India and Kumbhalgarh is known for the Kumbhalgarh Fort. On arrival in Udaipur late in the afternoon, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Udaipur.

Day 11: Udaipur

After breakfast, visit the City Palace. It is the largest palace in Rajasthan. Also visit the Jagdish Temple and Sahelion-Ki-Bari or the "Gardens of the Maids of Honor". Lunch will be at the beautiful Gallery Restaurant at Fateh Prakash Palace. Afterwards, a relaxing boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight stay at the hotel in Udaipur.

Day 12: Udaipur - Aurangabad (by flight)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Mumbai from where you will board a connecting flight for Aurangabad. On arrival at Aurangabad late in the evening, check into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 13: Aurangabad

After breakfast, an excursion to explore the Ajanta Caves. Located 99-km away from Aurangabad, Ajanta Caves were carved out from the 2nd century BC to 6th century AD. The exquisite paintings and sculptures of Ajanta are the masterpieces of Buddhist religious art. Overnight stay at the hotel in Aurangabad.

Day 14: Aurangabad / Mumbai

After breakfast, you will be accompanied to explore Ellora Caves. Carved between the 4th and 5th century, the Ellora Caves represent the harmony among the three major faiths of India, namely, Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Late evening transfer to the airport to catch a flight for Mumbai. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mumbai.

Day 15: Mumbai - Madurai (by flight)

Transfer to the airport to catch a morning flight for Madurai. On arrival before noon, check into the hotel. Visit the Sri Meenakshi Temple set in the heart of the old town. It is a beautiful example of Dravidian temple architecture with symmetrical ornamentation. Overnight stay at the hotel in Madurai.

Day 16: Madurai - Chettinad (90 km / 2 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Chettinad, a place known for its palatial artistic houses. The entire afternoon is for exploration of the palace and other unique architecture around it. Overnight stay at the hotel in Madurai.

Day 17: Chettinad - Tanjore/ Trichy (85 km / 2 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Tanjore, the City of Temples. There are around 74 temples in Tanjore, the most famous of which is the Brihadeshwara temple. After visiting the Thanjavur Palace, continue your drive to Trichy. Trichy is also a small town with remarkable specimens of art and architecture. Visit the Rock Fort Temple in the evening. Stay overnight at the Hotel.

Day 18: Trichy - Chennai (by train)

After breakfast, board the train for Chennai. Soon after arrival at Chennai, a short tour of the city is conducted. Overnight stay at the beach hotel outside Chennai city.

Day 19: Chennai

After breakfast, visit Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram, the two of the finest examples of ancient South Indian architecture. Overnight stay at the hotel in Chennai.

Day 20: Chennai

The day will be spent in leisure. In the evening, you will be given a farewell dinner before being escorted to the domestic terminal for flight to Delhi for return home or onward journey
